Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG - Individual Eleven follows the exploits of mostly cyborg Public Security Section 9. It covers the main story arc of the series Stand Alone Complex: 2nd Gig. When a group of terrorists calling themselves the Individual Eleven seize the Chinese embassy in Japan and demand that the refugees in Dejima be removed, section 9 must move in to neutralize the threat. This is only the first of many acts of terrorism perpetrated by the group as Section 9 sets out to discover the secret behind them and their mysterious leader, Hideo Kuze. Things really begin to heat up when Kuze mysteriously switches sides to assist the refugees by starting a revolution in Dejima. Political intrigue, fascinating technology, and intense sci-fi action make this cyberpunk police thriller a jewel as the Major and her colleagues set out to save Japan from the Individual Eleven and the corruption within their own government.
